Hey Y’all! Welcome to my very first blog post! I’m so excited to finally launch this space where I can connect, share, and take you behind the scenes of my photography journey, as well as life outside the studio. Whether you’re here looking for a family photographer in Raleigh, planning your wedding, expecting a little one, or just love following the creative journey of a small-town photographer, I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Claire, and I’m a Raleigh, North Carolina-based photographer specializing in family photography, newborn photography, and wedding photography.

I am a mama, animal lover, and coke zero addict with a passion for capturing life’s fleeting moments. My journey into photography started after my first son was born. I picked up a camera because I wanted to freeze time and capture the magical, messy, beautiful moments of my son’s childhood. From his muddy boots to the quiet snuggles, I didn’t want to forget a second. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a creative outlet that lit a spark in me I didn’t know I needed.

Fast forward a few years, and I’m now the proud owner of my very own photography studio right here in the Raleigh area—something I still have to pinch myself about! I officially opened my studio in 2025… while I was 9 months pregnant with my second son, no less. It was wild, exhausting, and completely worth it. This space has become my creative haven and a place where I get to watch other families make memories of their own.

When I’m not behind the camera or editing photos with a coke zero in hand, you’ll find me tending to my garden or hanging out with my favorite animals. I have a small farm crew that includes chickens, goats, horses, and a couple of sweet (and sometimes mischievous) dogs. I also keep bees, which is as magical and challenging as it sounds. Life here is full of dirt, laughter, early mornings, and lots of love.

And of course, I’m a mom to two amazing boys who keep me busy and inspired every single day. They’re the reason I started all of this, and they continue to be my favorite models and biggest cheerleaders.

Through this blog, I’ll be sharing photography tips, behind-the-scenes peeks into sessions, personal stories, and the occasional update from the homestead. Thank you for being here, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you!
